Not only is Carmel Caravan Park a superb base from which to explore the tranquil Mid-Wales countryside, a fantastic place to visit for long peaceful hill walks and an ideal spot to explore some of the local attractions, but it also has 6 lakes and the river Vyrnwy, Rhiew, Banwy and Severn nearby; ideal for all those fishing enthusiasts out there.
Of the 6 lakes nearby; 5 of them are specifically for course fishing so are well stocked with a wide variety of fish including carp, roach, rudd and perch; making Carmel a perfect location for any keen anglers looking for a peaceful fishing trip.
For those looking for a quiet relaxing break without leaving the area there are plenty of fishing opportunities in Carmel, where you can enjoy the beautiful Mid Wales Countryside from the base of our outstanding site.
There are many fishing locations for you to enjoy, with 6 lakes close by, as well as the river Vyrnwy; 1 lake which is reserved for fly fishing. In this lake there is an abundance of rainbow trout; put that together with the calm, serene surroundings and you've got the ideal spot for a fishing excursion.
Within easy reach of Carmel Caravan Park is the river Rhiew that can yield a wide range of catches such as brown trout, grayling and salmon. The river offers the more experienced fisherman the chance to practice the more elegant skills of fishing. For good coarse fishing spots on the river, there are a sequence of pools, glides and riffles that appear as the river gradient eases
What a beautiful, peaceful site, for both tourers and statics. Sadly due to health issues we are unable to use the site this year which is a real shame. If you want to switch off and get away from it all on a well kept clean friendly site with plenty of lovely walks then this is ideal. We were allowed to visit the new born lambs in the spring an our grandchildren bottle fed some of the which they loved. Thankyou
Have been here for 3 years now, absolutely love it... Peace and quiet and a great base to explore the surrounding areas from...
I have a caravan at this park, it's the best place to get away from the rat race. The family run park is so friendly, so clean and tidy got some rules but I think this is good. I would like to thank Keith and family for doing a great job!
Lovely surroundings, relaxing, and nice people who own the site. If you want to chill after a hard weeks graft, this is the place .
Please feel free to contact Carmel and discuss your requirements. It is advisable to pre-book touring plots to avoid disappointment in busy times.
